Gathering in Finland

The CRITICS Network is organizing a summer gathering on 3-8 August 2017 that will take place in Helsinki, Finland. The gathering is targeted for the CRITICS early career researchers, in order to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences gained so far during the first half of the students’ PhD studies.

The aim of the meeting is to increase the possibilities of finding common interests, sharing knowledge and skills, and stimulating collaborations within the network and beyond. To promote these outcomes, a joint one-day workshop will be organized in collaboration with the University of Helsinki as part of the gathering.

Students from outside the CRITICS network are also warmly welcome to participate!

Scientific and organizing committee:
Kalle Timperi (Imperial College London)
Flavia Remo (Friedrich Schiller University Jena)
Mikko Stenlund (University of Helsinki)

About the CRITICS Network:

The CRITICS innovative training network, funded by the European Union, brings together students from all around the world in order to provide a multidisciplinary environment and framework for their individual PhD work.

To reach this goal, the network offers a number of winter and summer schools and conferences, bringing together experts and students in different research areas, bound together by the common framework of dynamical systems.

The network also aims to bridge the gap between science and the society at large, through collaboration with a number of partner organizations.
